Understanding the changes to aged care services: For carers

Many carers would be familiar with the recent Aged Care Royal Commission, which heard evidence of a system that can be inequitable and difficult to navigate. Currently, in-home care services are delivered by several programs which have different approaches to assessment, eligibility, service providers, funding and fees.

The Royal Commission made a series of recommendations to transform the aged care system, including a new Support at Home Program starting in July 2024. Please join us for a 90-minute information session where we walk you through the current system, what is changing and why.

You will require access to a computer with speakers (a microphone and video camera are a bonus). Training is delivered using the ZOOM platform. Carers NSW will send you instructions about how you can join the session on the day before each session.

The duration for this webinar is 1.5 hours.

Please note: This session is for carers. If you are attending as a CHSP Provider please register for 'Supporting carers through the aged care reforms: For CHSP providers'
