Embedding carer recognition and support through legislation:
An international panel discussion

Tuesday 30 April 2024, 8:00 - 9:00am AEST

The recent inquiry into the adequacy of the Australian carer recognition legislation and the current development of new laws related to aged care and disability services raise an important question: What is the role of legislation in improving outcomes for family and friend carers?

Join Carers NSW CEO, Elena Katrakis, and a panel of experts from the USA and UK as they discuss the challenges and opportunities of legislative reform and share learnings from international legislation that establishes carer rights relating to assessment, support, access to information and training, and workplace entitlements.

This session will be delivered online using the Zoom video conferencing platform. You will need access to a computer with speakers. Carers NSW will send you instructions about how you can join the session on confirmation of your registration.
