The art of peer support for young carers

The art of peer support
Carers NSW would like to invite you to a brand-new program that invites young carers to express yourself in a creative way, and connect with other young people in similar situations.
‘The art of peer support’ is designed to offer you an opportunity to:
  • immerse yourself in the power of art,
  • offer you respite from your caring responsibilities,
  • connect with other young carers in similar situations, and
  • learn ongoing strategies and resources that you can implement in your everyday life
The art part:
No drawing experience required, as you will be guided through each session to strengthen creative wellbeing amongst a small community of young carers.
Each participant will receive a free art material pack. Please ensure you provide a postal address in the registration form below.

The connection part:
Don’t feel confident speaking in a group? Please be assured that you are encouraged to express yourself in whatever way feels most comfortable to you.
‘The art of peer support’ is opened to a small group of young carers aged between 13 and 16 years old.
