Supported Decision Making

This 1½ hour session outlines the human rights belief that ‘every person has the right to make their own decisions’, and recognises when people with disability require support with this. The session provides carers with an overview of the supported decision-making process and an understanding of their role, rights and responsibilities in supporting the person they care for to make decisions.

You will require access to a computer with speakers (a microphone and video camera are a bonus). Training is delivered using the ZOOM platform. Carers NSW will send you instructions about how you can join the session on the day before each session.

The duration for this session is 60 minutes.
