Grants to celebrate National Carers Week 2021

                                      Important Information

Thank you for applying for a grant to celebrate National Carers Week which runs from Sunday 10 to Saturday 16 October 2021. Before you begin your application, please read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) which are available for download from the Carers NSW website.

Funded by the NSW Government, grants of up to $300.00 AUD are available to carer support groups and organisations to plan events and activities for carers during National Carers Week. Organising an event is a wonderful way to acknowledge anyone caring for a family member or friend and to give them a break from the responsibilities of their caring role. Many events attract new carers to carer support groups and also provides the opportunity to reach out to hidden carers in your area.

Applications close 5.00pm Monday 14 June 2021 and you will be notified of the outcome of your application via email by the end of July. All applications and supporting documents must be received by this time. Incomplete applications will not be considered, so please be sure to click the 'submit' button at the end of this application form. You will then receive a confirmation email confirming receipt of your application - if you do not receive this within 24 hours, please contact
commsteam@carersnsw.org.au

If you are applying for a grant on behalf of a carer support group or organisation that does NOT have an ABN, you are still eligible to apply, however, you are required to submit a Statement by a supplier form and a Donation Application form. Both forms can be found on the Carers NSW website.

It is a requirement that all 2021 grant applications agree to have COVID-19 measures in place and must ensure their events and activities comply with the COVID-19 health regulations and guidelines in place at the time. • a maximum of 20 people to events (unless NSW Health reduces gathering sizes below 20 people).

  • the event organiser has accurate names and contact details of all people attending the event or activity and ideally a QR code check in.
  • hand sanitiser is available at your event or activity.
